Yahweh Nissi means The Lord My Banner. Banners have always been held in high regard, even in ancient days we see armies carrying their banners for all to see. In Exodus we find Moses building an altar unto the Lord after a battle with the Amalekites. Why is this significant, how does this pertain to the battles we face today?
